Formerly the site of a 17th century water mill, the Mill Barns in Alveley, near Bridgnorth in Shropshire is a stunning waterfront wedding venue comprised of three oak framed wedding barns linked by outdoor terraces and situated within eight acres of beautiful landscaped gardens.

Most couples choose the bright, airy Mill Wheel Barn for their ceremony. With exposed timber beams, a full-length window overlooking the mill pond, and soaring arched ceilings, it provides a truly spectacular setting for exchanging vows. Alternatively, for those who prefer an outdoor ceremony, the terrace overlooking the mill pond offers a picturesque spot on sunny days. The grounds also feature an arched wooden bridge and a charming white pagoda—perfect for capturing beautiful portraits of the newlyweds. For a peaceful escape, a stroll through the tranquil woodland offers a private moment away from the celebrations.

The wedding breakfast and evening festivities are held in the Mill Pond Barn, where separate spaces for the ceremony and reception allow for a seamless transition between the different parts of the day. Should the weather turn, guests can move easily between the barns without stepping outside. For those wishing to stay overnight, The Mill Barns offers 22 guest rooms, a contemporary wedding suite, and a spacious dressing room. If guests need a break from the festivities, there’s a cosy lounge downstairs, complete with comfy sofas to relax into.
