The Wroxeter Hotel is tucked away in the picturesque Shropshire countryside, near Atcham and just a short drive from Shrewsbury. Offering stunning views across the countryside to the iconic Wrekin, my favourite part of this wedding venue is the rustic woodland ceremony area, hidden away behind giant tipis.
In the spring and summer, the path leading to the ceremony pavilion is beautifully adorned with bulbs, blossoms, and wildflowers, creating a magical atmosphere. As autumn arrives, pumpkins and straw bales add to the seasonal décor, while the avenue of trees lining the hotel’s drive turns to vibrant shades of gold and red. During the winter months, twinkling fairy lights bring a touch of festive sparkle to the venue. The giant tipis provide a relaxed, fun setting for your wedding breakfast.
For couples looking for a wet-weather backup or a fully accessible option, the yurt offers shelter from the elements while maintaining a unique space for the ceremony. Alternatively, couples can choose to host their ceremony in the bright, airy conservatory of the Georgian hotel. In addition to offering a variety of ceremony locations and reception spaces, the Wroxeter Hotel can accommodate around forty overnight guests.
If you’re dreaming of a woodland wedding at the Wroxeter Hotel, I’d love to capture your special day!
