Jess and Joe were wed in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony in the lakeside gazebo at Moat Hall Barns on a sunny August afternoon, and what a day it was!
The couple opted for soft greens and lilac accents, with lots of frothy gypsophila and trailing ivy creating romantic florals to decorate the gazebo. Jess chose to walk down the aisle arm-in-arm with both her parents, which I thought was lovely, and upon reaching groom Joe at the end of the aisle quite a few happy tears were shed. After exchanging touching personalised vows and rings in a beautiful ceremony packed with emotion, it was time for hugs all round as the couple celebrated their newly-wed status in the sunny paddock and courtyard with their guests. Joe and Jess also made fab use of the venue’s covered barn to set up their bar, and as a spot for friends and family to sit and enjoy the lively speeches. Both Jess and Joe are vegan, so they opted for a vegan street food truck to cater for their guests, serving lush burgers, loaded fries, chilli and more.
After utilising the lakeside for some formal group photographs and couples portraits, we headed into the venue’s beautiful private garden, where the dahlias were a riot of gorgeous colours and provided a lovely backdrop for Joe and Jess to cuddle up for a few romantic shots. Jess and Joe were the perfect blend of loved-up and quick to laugh, which I hope you’ll agree was a recipe for some beautiful pictures of a lovely couple.
Joe and Jess had added a few touches to the Top Barn to make it party ready, including a number of disco balls hung from the big rustic beams that span the dancefloor, and these looked fab alongside the fairy lights. Joe and Jess’s guests definitely came to party, and I had a great time weaving in and out of the dancefloor trying to capture their moves! Congratulations on a fun, love-filled day Jess and Joe; it was a pleasure to capture the moments for you.
