Playful couple Lara and Ben chose Warwick Castle as the backdrop for their early October wedding, and what a stunning and magical setting for their big day this was! Ben and Lara really embraced the castle vibes, opting for medieval-style outfits, with Lara in a rich forest green and white velvety gown with beautiful lace edging and a tiara, and Ben wearing an elaborate outfit that brought Game of Thrones to mind, with embossed leather gauntlets, a big shaggy cape and plenty of authentic detailing.

After their civil ceremony in the castle’s state dining room, the couple and their intimate group of guests enjoyed traditional mead in the Peacock gardens, with some good-natured fooling about with weaponry thrown into the mix! The late afternoon sun lit the castle grounds beautifully for Ben and Lara’s couples photos, and as the sun set the couple and their guests made their way to the Great Hall, where a fantastically atmospheric candle-lit banquet had been laid out for the wedding breakfast, overlooked by suits of armour and a plethora of swords. It was such a treat to be seated with the guests and to share the delicious three-course meal with them! During their brief speeches of thanks Ben presented Lara with a gift of honorary titles for them both as Lord and Lady, in true spirit of the theme of the day, before cutting their cake with a ceremonial sword. The evening wrapped up with a juxtuapositionally modern disco, with the couple sneaking away briefly for a few might-time photographs underneath the iconic portcullis of the East Gatehouse.

Thankyou so much to Lara and Ben for letting me share in and capture your fabulous and unique wedding day!
