Gorgeous couple Nicola and Tomos flew back from Australia to their native North Wales, to marry in front of their friends and family. Their wedding ceremony was held on a gloriously sunny August day at St. Deiniol’s church in the centre of the lovely village of Hawarden in Flintshire, where both Nic and Tom grew up. Tom and his groomsmen looked sharp in classic black tuxes, whilst Nic opted for a stunning Danielle Frankel gown with gauzy dropped sleeves. The couple’s superb taste extended to the beautiful flowers that accessorised their day, from the two large floral columns that adorned the church doorway to the lovely table centrepieces, which looked perfect paired with candles and hand-lettered menus for the wedding breakfast.
My favourite thing about photographing Tom and Nic’s day was how much fun they were to work with, and how quick to laugh they both are! In addition to being lovely people, Nic has the most beautiful smile, and we saw it all day long, through the sun-soaked drinks reception in the grounds of a local Georgian country house, to their couples’ portraits, to their speeches. Another highlight for me was the massive disco ball that hung over the dancefloor, casting leopard-print-shaped shadows on the couple and their guests as they partied into the evening. What a fun way to bring the party spirit!
I had a fantastic day second shooting for the fab Jessica Hopwood Photography (www.jessicahopwood.co.uk) on this occasion
