Rebecca and Sarah-Jane chose beautiful Warwickshire wedding venue Ardencote Manor for their late July celebrations, with their ceremony held outside at the lakeside pavilion on a gloriously sunny day. It was a pleasure to spend time with both ladies on the morning as they each got ready for the day with their bridesmaids, and their young son, who took on the role of page boy alongside his little cousin. I loved how each bride had chosen a wedding dress that suited her wonderfully, and how the two gowns were so different! Rebecca’s Essence of Australia dress was frothy and gave total princess vibes, with a beautiful train and dropped sleeves, while Sarah-Jane’s stunning high-necked satin Jesus Peiro dress was the epitome of elegance and looked gorgeous with her sleek updo. The ladies had chosen bouquets full of bright blooms that shared some elements in common but were also unique, which I thought was lovely.
I had been promised a lot of colourful confetti, and boy, I was not disappointed! In fact the ladies had bought so much confetti that we did two throws, one straight after their beautiful outdoor ceremony as the newly-weds walked down the aisle together, and a second go after dinner in the venue’s lovely shady gardens, where all the guests gathered around the brides to throw the confetti up into the air all at once. Absolute chaos but so much fun! One of my favourite photographs from this lovely day, which I chose as the cover image for the post, is of Sarah-Jane and Rebecca making confetti angels in the grass - I adore capturing those little spontaneous moments in a wedding day! I also loved the little personalised wafers that accompanied the ice cream served to guests during cocktail hour - a wonderful treat on a hot day.
Rebecca and Sarah-Jane’s first date was at an escape room, and the pair are big fans of games, theming their reception tables around favourite games and setting challenges for their guests to complete between dinner courses. It was super fun to watch as friends and family puzzled over the challenges set by the couple, and competed for prizes! After dinner we were treated to a beautiful golden hour so I stole the couple away for a few more portraits in Ardencote’s gardens before their first dance. The games continued into the evening with some spirited beer pong bouts alongside the dancefloor action. A gorgeous day with a stunning couple - thanks for letting me share it with you!
