Emily and Matt’s wedding was my second visit of the year to the wonderful Hundred House Hotel in Norton, Shropshire, and I had the most fantastic day with these two!
Like so many couples this year, Emily and Matt have had to postpone and rearrange their wedding day, but their happiness in finally getting married was especially evident in the big smile Emily wore all day - I’m not sure I managed to take many photos of this stunning bride where she isn’t laughing or just generally just radiating joy at being married to Matt! This pair needed no encouragement to snuggle up and have a kiss during their couple portraits in the venue’s beautiful gardens, which were a fab location for photographs, with the trees showing their Autumn colours.
I love this couple’s sense of style; Emily’s beautiful dress had the most fantastic ethereal sleeves, and when paired with her tiara gave me Galadriel vibes! And while you couldn’t always see them, she wore beautifully embroidered boots (swapped for her trusty Doc Martens for dancing later on!). Matt and his groomsmen chose beautiful tweed suits that suited the October foliage wonderfully (and if you look closely, you might spot elven leaf broaches on the lapels of his groomsmen, another subtle Lord of the Rings nod!). Their reception tables were named after their pets; the wedding cakes (yes, plural!) were made by friend Gina, and topped with charming bride and groom velociraptors, and the cake was cut with a huge (and sharp!) Gurkha knife that had belonged to Matt’s grandfather - a family tradition! Just before the evening dancing began, Emily and Matt rounded off their day with sparklers and a few silhouette shots with the colour-changing lights in the front of the hotel. What a fun way to spend a day!
