Rachel and Ryan’s February wedding was held at the beautiful grade 1-listed Hawkstone Hall, near Shrewsbury in Shropshire. The couple chose to have their ceremony in the stunning on-site chapel, with its beautiful tiled floor and vaulted azure ceiling a lovely backdrop for the exchange of vows. Ryan and Rachel opted for a traditional and elegant feel to their wedding day, with understated cream florals complementing the deep forest green of the bridesmaids’ gowns.
There are so many lovely rooms in the house for guests to explore, including the cosy and inviting library, the opulent saloon and the impressive ballroom, where Rachel and Ryan hosted their wedding breakfast after a brief magic show put on by a friend of the groom! Despite the chill in the air, Ryan and Rachel braved the cold to get out into the grounds of the house for a few couple portraits. The beautifully bright (and warm!) Winter Garden was also a great spot to capture some photos, with the staircase a lovely choice to show off Rachel’s train and veil.
A relaxed afternoon of mingling was followed by some impressively enthusiastic dancing later in the evening (with Madness proving to be a particular crowd favourite!)
